INFO:
📍 Kinjo | Edmonton This popular Japanese restaurant chain from Calgary is now open in Edmonton! 🍣 The restaurant is quite large — I heard that this is their biggest location. They’re known for their affordable pricing. You order through an ordering sheet but be warned that it adds up. Overall, the food was just alright. You pay for what you get. The items were hit or miss. I liked the salmon sashimi (it was thiccc), mango roll, and sweet potato fries. The magic steak bites were dry but the sesame dipping sauce was good so I kept eating it. The fried chicken u002F chicken burgers were a disappointment because it was dry and lacked flavour. Some of the other appetizers had room for improvement like the adegashi tofu and the shake fries (and y’all should know how much I love fries). Although it was opening day and the restaurant was busy, the service was attentive and food didn’t take long to come out. I also got their bubble tea which is only $2 — the cheapest in Edmonton! There’s a small market where you can purchase Japanese snacks + desserts. I picked up a box of matcha cream puffs which I recommend. I haven’t been to the Calgary locations so I’m quite curious how the food there compares to the food here.
